Owner Occupied Rehab Program
Housing Rehabilitation Grants & Loans
Depending on qualifications, homeowners may be eligible to obtain grants or loans.
The single-family housing rehabilitation programs are administered by the Human & Community Development Department and the Housing Authority of DeKalb County. They are available to income eligible single-family owner occupied homes in certain designated areas in DeKalb County. Residents outside of specified areas may qualify if they are elderly or disabled.
The intent of the Housing Rehabilitation Program is to assist eligible low and moderate income homeowners in bringing their homes up to County Property Maintenance Code Standard. Once the house has been brought up to the County's Property Maintenance Code Standards, via the rehabilitation program, it becomes the homeowner's responsibility to perform the routine maintenance. A homeowner may only receive rehabilitation assistance once.
To request a pre-application card you may contact the Housing Authority of DeKalb County at (404) 270-2507 or via e-mail at cms@dekalbhousing.org.
